Today Cedarstone Advisors turns 10 years old! On October 13th, 2014, Cedarstone Advisors was officially launched. The idea behind Cedarstone was simple - we wanted to work alongside our clients, bringing our expertise to each situation to help our clients achieve their goals. Thus, the Cedarstone Difference was officially born. The first step, of course, was to listen, to understand our clients so that we could truly understand how to help. The next step was to bring our expertise, a holistic view of the situation: investing, financial planning, tax planning, and more. In our experience, too many firms merely focusing on investing, forgetting the benefits that financial and tax planning can bring, or focused solely on planning, using the financial plan as an excuse to sell insurance, forgetting the importance of institutional level investment management. The Cedarstone difference is to listen, plan and invest with excellence.
We must have found a need, because Cedarstone has been an outstanding success, continually growing through the years, almost exclusively through referrals from the clients we serve. Along the way I have received an unexpected blessing, my clients have become true friends. It has been a privilege to walk through life together, new jobs and retirement, births and deaths, marriages and divorces, college and grandkids. It truly has been a privilege to be a part of your lives. I have learned so much from each of you. It is true that every story is unique, and I love to hear the different paths that each takes.
Of course, even as I look back over the past 10 years, it is hard not to look forward to the next 10. My hope is that Cedarstone is just getting started. We look forward to many more years of walking alongside you. We are continually growing too, improving, getting better. And as we grow we will be careful to keep what has made Cedarstone great, the people and relationships that are at the heart of everything we do.
